Today was a great day! I worked on a very unique set of office wingbacked chairs finished in Cayman leather hides. I am taking a leap here in that I believe it was a Cayman hide, it may have, certainly been another type of reptile, gator or crocodile hide. The leather had faded over time and needed some tender loving care to bring back their original glory. I used an aniline dye, unique to ColorGlo and was very happy to say that looked as good as they did when first brought home from the store. The leather restoration was a success and I can add this one to my favorite leather repair list.
We also restored a couple of barrel chairs which had taken a beating over the years, from use in the TV room. Very scratched and tired looking. Another successful repair and a satisfied customer. I love what I do!
