Again this was a good week in Leather restoration and repair of plastic and vinyl, because I have done them all.  The week started with the restoration of a beutiful leather chair that suffered from "oil damage" on the headrest, and "age".  When the leather finish has broken down enough, oils from the skin (usually from older men) transfer to the leather and leave a dark impression.  I had to treat the headrest with a deagreaser two times to pull the grease out in preparation for restoring the finish.  Then we applied our magic to restore the chair to a beautiful new luster.
I worked on a car leather interior that was need of loving care.  The interior was a little tired, and needed to have a large tear repaired.
Finally, my most interesting challenge was to change the color of an entire automobile front dash.  A repair shop had difficulty in replacing a damaged dash with a new one, because of the age of the vehicle.  They were able to find the correct dash, but it was the wrong color.  After a few hours of matching two colors, we solved the problem.  One refreshed dash board ready to go!
I finish the week today with the repair and color restoration of a large Sofa, Chair and Ottoman.  The challenge here is to duplicate the finish with multiple tones.
